A website for restaurants in Málaga: professional design, local SEO and built-in bookings
The province of Málaga had 12.856 food and beverage premises on 1 January 2025, the highest figure in Andalusia, ahead of Seville (10.556). Andalusia, taken together, is the region with the most hospitality companies in Spain. There is no co-official language that requires another version of the menu: the extra language the tourist market asks for is English.
The site’s SEO is written for your neighbourhood in Málaga
Centro, El Palo, Pedregalejo and La Malagueta need a page that says where the venue is. There is no ranking of premises by neighbourhood in the INE: the 12.856 are for the whole province, Costa del Sol included, on 1 January 2025.
Málaga is the Andalusian province with the most food and beverage premises
On 1 January 2025 the province of Málaga counted 12.856 CNAE 56 premises. Next came Seville (10.556), Cádiz (7.362), Granada (5.612), Almería (4.392), Córdoba (3.753), Jaén (2.970) and Huelva (2.958). Andalusia totals 50.459 premises, 18,7 % of the 270.205 in Spain. The directory itself notes that Málaga concentrates the largest number and that this fits the tourist weight of the Costa del Sol. Source: INE, DIRCE, table 301.
In companies, Andalusia is the first region: 43.957 in CNAE 56 on the same date, 18,7 % of the 234.900 in Spain. They split into 11.596 restaurants and food stalls (26,4 %), 3.615 catering and other food-service businesses, and 28.746 beverage establishments (65,4 %). Accommodation adds 5.008 companies. The Andalusian fabric is, in that table, a fabric of bars as well as a fabric of restaurants. Source: INE, DIRCE, table 39372.
The 12.856 premises are the province, not the municipality of Málaga and not a Centro neighbourhood. The municipal DIRCE does not isolate CNAE 56. A page that cites "3.500 restaurants in the city" is not using this source.
Three out of four hotel overnight stays in Andalusia fall in coastal municipalities
Andalusia received 14.432.412 international tourists in 2025, 6,33 % more than the 13.573.242 of 2024 and above the 12.190.565 of 2023. It is the largest growth among the seven regions in the brief and 14,9 % of the national total. The provisional press release rounded Andalusia to 14,5 million (+6,6 %). Sources: FRONTUR, table 23988 and note of 3 February 2026.
Andalusian hotels totalled 20.365.539 travellers (+0,4 %) and 57.191.705 overnight stays in 2025 (+1,0 % against 56.603.388). 55,6 % of those overnight stays were by residents abroad (31.787.575). 75 % of hotel overnight stays in Andalusia are concentrated in coastal municipalities. Hotel source: table 61766. The coastal 75 %: Wikipedia, Tourism in Andalusia, cited in the brief.
The Costa del Sol, in Málaga, is Andalusia's main sun-and-beach destination, with Torremolinos as the historical reference for overnight stays, according to that same entry. The province leads the premises directory and, at the same time, is part of a region where the coast takes three quarters of hotel nights. Designing the website of a Centro venue and that of a coastal venue with the same calendar ignores that split, which is regional and not a street-by-street census.
August is the arrivals peak, and foreign overnight stays peak in September
In international arrivals to Andalusia during 2025, the maximum was August (1.702.993, 11,8 % of the year) and the minimum December (682.711, 4,7 %), with January at 693.467. The peak is 2,5 times the trough. From April to October, every month exceeded 1,39 million. July and August added up to 22,5 % of arrivals; from November to February, 20,6 %. Source: FRONTUR, table 75720.
In hotel overnight stays the maximum was August (7.586.225) and the minimum January (2.298.453), ratio 3,3. August accounted for 13,3 % of the year and January for 4,0 %; July and August, 25,2 %; from November to February, 19,3 %. Overnight stays by residents abroad reached their peak in September (3.551.655), not in August. Another reading of the same Wikipedia attributes 13,26 % of annual overnight stays to August and 5,36 % to December. The pattern in the brief is a summer high season and a winter low season, with the exception of snow in Sierra Nevada, which is not the Costa del Sol.
A website in Málaga has to be ready before August and keep converting in September, when the foreign guest of the Andalusian hotel is at a maximum. Winter does not disappear: November to February is still a fifth of the region's international arrivals.
There is no co-official language: the second language of the website comes from the source market
Andalusia does not have a co-official language other than Spanish. The Statute of Autonomy (Organic Law 2/2007) does not declare co-official status. Its article 10.3.4.º sets as an objective the defence of the Andalusian linguistic modality. The practical consequence recorded in the brief is direct: there is no obligation of a menu or a website in another regional language. The relevant extra language is English, and the source markets, not a second official language. Source: BOE, Statute of Autonomy for Andalusia.
On the table, the designation the brief ties to this land is wine: DO Málaga and Sierras de Málaga, alongside the rest of the Andalusian wine designations. The source does not give a vineyard area or a number of wineries that we can repeat here. Source: Wikipedia, Gastronomy of Andalusia.
The map and the city searches are handled in local SEO for restaurants in Málaga. The page plans are on the web design pillar. The catalogue and the method are on the gastronomic marketing agency page.
The brief leaves without a source an Andalusian regional programme for digitising hospitality, with its own name and URL. We do not replace it with the national Kit Digital or with a figure from booking platforms.
