A website for restaurants in Madrid: professional design, local SEO and built-in bookings
In the province of Madrid the INE directory counted 29.854 food and beverage service premises on 1 January 2025, behind the province of Barcelona (30.536), which is first in Spain. The FRONTUR press release attributes 9,1 million international tourists to Madrid in 2025, and the monthly series leaves a peak-to-trough ratio of 1,46: the second-flattest curve among the regions broken out, after the Canary Islands.
The site’s SEO is written for your neighbourhood in Madrid
These neighbourhoods already shape the website content in Madrid. We do not publish a ranking of premises by neighbourhood: the DIRCE does not split CNAE 56 by municipality, still less by neighbourhood. The neighbourhood name goes on the page, in the schema and in the searches that people who live or work there actually make.
The province of Madrid has 29.854 hospitality premises, behind Barcelona
On 1 January 2025 the province of Madrid had 29.854 food and beverage service premises (CNAE 56). The province of Barcelona is first in Spain, with 30.536, ahead of Madrid. Across Spain the same directory totals 270.205 food and beverage premises and 43.622 accommodation premises (CNAE 55). The directory published in the brief does not rank the remaining provinces, so this page does not assign Madrid a place in the national ranking beyond standing behind Barcelona. Source: INE, DIRCE, table 301, "Premises by province, main activity (CNAE 2009 divisions) and employee stratum", data as of 1 January 2025.
That figure is provincial. The municipal directory (table 4721) groups trade, transport and hospitality in a single section, so there is no public count of CNAE 56 premises for the municipality of Madrid. What can be used to decide on a website is the size of the provincial market that is published: 29.854 premises, with Barcelona immediately ahead.
Companies and premises are not the same thing. One company can operate several establishments, and that is why premises by province add up to more than the companies in the region. The directory annex warns against mixing table 39372 (companies by region) with table 301 (premises by province). For Madrid, the piece the brief cites with a URL is the premises figure.
International tourism in Madrid is among the least seasonal in the series
The FRONTUR press release of 3 February 2026, still with provisional figures for the year 2025, attributes 9,1 million international tourists to Madrid, 3,3 % more than the previous year. Spain closed that press update at 96,8 million (+3,2 %). The revised INE table, which the same brief contrasts with the note, sets Spain at 96.803.894 tourists (+3,25 %); Madrid is not broken out in that revised table in the annex, so this page cites the rounded figure from the note and not an invented integer. Sources: INE, FRONTUR December 2025 and year 2025 and table 23988.
Seasonality, in the monthly series of international arrivals (table 75720, 2025), leaves Madrid with a peak-to-trough ratio of 1,46. It is the second-flattest curve among the regions that table breaks out, just behind the Canary Islands (1,45) and far from the Balearic Islands (17,4). The brief does not publish Madrid's peak month or trough month, and this page does not name them either. What can be used is the ratio: international demand is not concentrated in a coastal summer.
For the website, that shape of calendar changes the job. A page designed only for August falls short in a market where the trough in international arrivals does not collapse. What is needed is an updatable menu, a visible booking path and a version in the languages of the people who already look for the restaurant, all year. The detail of the positioning service in Madrid is in local SEO for restaurants in Madrid.
The website is designed for that market, with a public price and without guessing the neighbourhood
The work of this landing page is the restaurant page: structure, speed, menu and booking. The service frame, with the catalogue and the method, is on the gastronomic marketing agency. The pillar, with the plans and the scope common to all of Spain, is on web design for restaurants.
The plans on this page come from the same catalogue. The text here does not rewrite what each one includes and does not add a listing-management price different from the one already published on the service page. If the next step is the map and the neighbourhood searches, the link is the local SEO one above, not a promise of position.

Frequently asked questions about restaurant websites in Madrid
How many restaurants are there in Madrid according to a public source?
On 1 January 2025 the province of Madrid had 29.854 food and beverage service premises (CNAE 56). Barcelona, with 30.536, is the first province in Spain and stands ahead of Madrid. It is a provincial figure from the INE (DIRCE, table 301), not a census of the municipality or of a neighbourhood. The municipal directory groups hospitality with trade and transport, and does not publish CNAE 56 on its own.
How many international tourists did Madrid receive in 2025?
The FRONTUR press release of 3 February 2026, with provisional figures, gives Madrid 9,1 million international tourists in 2025, 3,3 % more. The revised table cited by the same brief sets Spain at 96.803.894 tourists and does not break out Madrid, so we do not turn the 9,1 million into an integer the source does not give.
Does Madrid need a different website in August and in January?
The monthly series of international arrivals for 2025 leaves Madrid with a peak-to-trough ratio of 1,46, the second flattest among the regions broken out in that table (Canary Islands 1,45; Balearic Islands 17,4). The brief does not name the peak month or the trough month. The practical reading is that the website has to take bookings and show the menu outside the summer as well.
Can you tell me which Madrid neighbourhood has the most hospitality premises?
Not with the public directory we use. Table 301 goes down to province and table 4721, at municipality level, mixes hospitality with trade and transport. On the page we list neighbourhoods to shape the website content, without turning that list into a ranking of establishments.
Where do I see the price of the website and of local SEO in Madrid?
The website plans are on this same landing page and on the web design for restaurants pillar, from 890 € as a one-off payment. Local SEO for the city has its own page, and the full catalogue with the working method is on the agency page. This page does not add a listing-management price different from the catalogue.
Pair the website with local SEO in Madrid
The website is what this page is for. Ranking on the map in Madrid is on the local SEO page, the plan detail is on the web design service, and the catalogue and method are on the agency page.
