A website for restaurants in Marbella: professional design, local SEO and built-in bookings
Marbella has no count of its own for food and drink premises in the public directory. The published figure is for the province of Málaga: 12.856 premises on 1 January 2025, the highest in Andalusia, and that province includes the whole Costa del Sol. Andalusia has no co-official language: the extra language on a coastal website comes from the foreign visitor, not from a second official language.
The site’s SEO is written for your neighbourhood in Marbella
Casco Antiguo, Puerto Banús or San Pedro show up in searches under their own names, and the website has to name them. There is no ranking of premises by neighbourhood: the INE publishes CNAE 56 by province, and the 12.856 in Málaga are not a census of Marbella.
The 12.856 premises belong to the province of Málaga, not a census of Marbella
On 1 January 2025 the province of Málaga counted 12.856 food and drink service premises. Behind it came Sevilla (10.556), Cádiz (7.362), Granada (5.612), Almería (4.392), Córdoba (3.753), Jaén (2.970) and Huelva (2.958). Andalusia totals 50.459 premises, 18,7 % of the 270.205 in Spain. The directory notes that Málaga concentrates the largest number in the region and that this fits the tourist weight of the Costa del Sol. Source: INE, DIRCE, table 301.
A Marbella page that cites those 12.856 as if they belonged to the municipality is mixing two territories. The municipal DIRCE (table 4721) groups trade, transport and hospitality, and does not isolate CNAE 56. What can be used is the size of the provincial market, with the coast inside it, and the neighbourhood name on the website itself. Source of the municipal limit: table 4721.
In companies, which is not the same as premises, Andalusia is the leading region: 43.957 in CNAE 56 on the same date, 18,7 % of the 234.900 in Spain. They split into 11.596 restaurants and food stands (26,4 %), 3.615 in catering and other food service, and 28.746 drinking establishments (65,4 %). Accommodation adds 5.008 companies. Three out of every four hotel nights in Andalusia fall in coastal municipalities
Andalusia received 14.432.412 international tourists in 2025, 6,33 % more than the 13.573.242 of 2024 and above the 12.190.565 of 2023. It is the largest growth among the seven regions in the brief and 14,9 % of the national total. The provisional press note rounded Andalusia to 14,5 million (+6,6 %). Sources: FRONTUR, table 23988 and the note of 3 February 2026.
Andalusian hotels recorded 20.365.539 guests (+0,4 %) and 57.191.705 overnight stays in 2025 (+1,0 % against 56.603.388). 55,6 % of those overnight stays were by residents abroad. 75 % of Andalusia hotel overnight stays are concentrated in coastal municipalities. Marbella is on that coastline. The 75 % figure is regional: it is not a census of hotel nights in the municipality. Sources: table 61766 and Wikipedia, Tourism in Andalusia.
The Costa del Sol, in the province of Málaga, is the main sun-and-beach destination in Andalusia in that entry. Torremolinos appears as the historical reference for overnight stays, not Marbella with a figure of its own. Designing the website of a Casco Antiguo venue and that of a beach venue with the same calendar ignores that split, which the brief leaves at regional scale.
August is the peak for arrivals, and foreign nights peak in September
In international arrivals to Andalusia during 2025, the maximum was August (1.702.993, 11,8 % of the year) and the minimum was December (682.711, 4,7 %), with January at 693.467. The peak is 2,5 times the trough. From April to October, every month exceeded 1,39 million. July and August accounted for 22,5 % of arrivals; from November to February, 20,6 %. Source: FRONTUR, table 75720.
In hotel overnight stays the maximum was August (7.586.225) and the minimum was January (2.298.453), a ratio of 3,3. August accounted for 13,3 % of the year and January for 4,0 %; July and August, 25,2 %; from November to February, 19,3 %. Overnight stays by residents abroad peaked in September (3.551.655), not in August. A website on the coast has to be ready before August and keep converting in September. Winter does not disappear: November to February is still a fifth of the region international arrivals.
There is no co-official language: the second language comes from the source market
Andalusia has no co-official language other than Spanish. The Statute of Autonomy (Organic Law 2/2007) does not declare co-official status. Article 10.3.4. sets as an objective the defence of the Andalusian linguistic form. The brief concludes that there is no obligation to offer a menu or a website in another regional language, and that the relevant extra language is English and the source markets.
